Quality Control is a top priority at Willard with every phase of production monitored by an on-line computer network. This offers documentation and traceability of product at all phases of production.
Spectrographic analysis determines the chemical composition of the aluminum alloys we melt from incoming raw material throughout the casting process.
The Layout Department, equipped with a direct computer control Coordinate Measuring Machine, can verify dimensional features of patterns, castings, and machined components. Mechanical testing is performed to determine tensile, yield, elongation and hardness properties. Statistical analysis of all variables is employed in our never ending effort toward zero defects.
Real Time-X-Ray capability is available to meet any customer-designated testing requirements, verify process changes, and perform defect analysis.
